FAQ’s
DTF transfer films, also known as sheets for direct-to-film printing, come in a specialized form. They allow the design to be printed onto the film and then transferred to consumer goods with heat. DTF transfer films work specifically with DTF inks and adhesive powder, as they allow for bright, vibrant prints on textiles and fabrics.
We offer a selection of sizes of our DTF transfer films, including A4 and A3 sheets. We also sell our films in roll format (in larger sizes) to accommodate varied printing setups — both desktop and industrial use.
Matte films reduce glare and are easier to handle during printing and transfer. Glossy films, on the other hand, offer a smoother surface that can enhance vibrancy but may show fingerprints or static more easily.
If you want to avoid static with DTF films, store them in a cool and dry place and limit handling. You may also want to use anti-static cloths or anti-static wristbands during setup and keep the area where you print clean to reduce static.
Yes, you can print directly on direct-to-transfer films using a suitable DTF printer and inks. The film is made to receive pigment-based DTF ink first, followed by adhesive powder and heat transfer. Please be sure to use films that are compatible with your printer's type and ensure the temperature and humidity are correct for printing.
